Legal Question in Workers Comp in Missouri

Assult

I was punched in the face at work. Employer did nothing. I contacted sheriff's office & statement were taken. I then was fired. Case has been turned over to prosecuting attorney. I have a $510 dentist bill due to injury. This all happened in Oct 2006. I have repeatly contacted prosecuting attorney office, but no reply. Employer refuses to file workman's compensation. What can I do?
