Legal Question in Workers Comp in Missouri

My daughter, age 43, fell down a stairway at her workplace, SSM Corporate Hqtrs, St.Louis Mo. Her work comp case was denied, their defense is she was not performing duties for the employer. She was carryiing a bowl of salad to the annual Christmas part held at the office. She has bruises, sprained ankle and a concussion. and has been denied care under WC claim. but is still under doctors care using company provided health insurance. Can she dispute their denial of WC claim.

She needs to hire a lawyer! Insurance companies are denying claims that they shouldn't, and doing so much more frequently than in years past. If there were a way to guide her to handle her claim without an attorney, I would send you in that direction. Unfortunately, the insurance company is not going to back down until a strong lawyer pushes them for you.
