Legal Question in Workers Comp in Missouri

firing

I had bypass surgery almost 1 year ago i was hired on to a workplace with them knowing my medical history, Then they fired me stating that they were afraid of me having a heart attack and falling down and dying, they would not know what to do. When she fired me she did state that it was not from my job performance cause she has never had a complaint about me in any way, custermers and other employees like me. She even said in a couple months i could come back can they do this

Re: firing

If the facts are as you decribed them, then it appears that you have a valid discrimination claim. Under the Americans with Disabilies Act framework, an employer is not allowed to fire an employee for a percieved disability the same as an actual one. You need to contact a labor lawyer in your area very soon. You only have alimited time in which to make your claim.

Good Luck
