Legal Question in Workers Comp in Missouri
foot injury
Hi, I was wanting to know your advice. I was hurt at work on 3/16/06. I have been off work since then. I had a 2000 pound machine fall on my foot. I received a lisfranc injury, a fracture, nerve damage of lower leg, and I tore my ligaments and tendons, in my ankle. I now walk flat footed and I have had a surgey with screws and and fushion. After my last Dr. visit on 5/23/07, he put me on permenant work restrictions. I cannot stand, and can only work a sedentary job. I only have to drive when I feel able to. I was also let go at my work, because they could not meet my work restrictions, so they let me go. I was wanting to know, if they still have to pay me workmans comp, and do they have to help me find other work. Thank you for your time.

Re: foot injury
It appears that the active treatment for your serious leg and foot injury is coming to an end. You are entitled to compensation for this permanent injury. You should contact an experienced workers' compensation attorney. You should also be referred to another doctor for a final objective evaluation of your condition and restrictions. See our website for additional details. Vocational rehabilitation is available in Missouri. We hope you continue to improve.
