Among them are the Family Medical Leave Act, the Missouri Workers' Compensation Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. In an effort to give you a straight answer, I must say that your job is not completely secure. If your company must fill your position in order to function, the employer may do so. But the employer may NOT fire you solely because you filed a workers' compensation claim. That could lead to a wrongful discharge lawsuit.
