Basically, notice of the claim must be made to mangmetn or owenrship fo the enployer within thrity days of the incident. There are limitation as to how soon one must make a claim for compensation after that. But the intiial limit is the tough one. If the injured employee's boss was made aware of the incident and that there was an injury, that may suffice to trigger the employer's duty to file an injury report. Your attorney can expalin this to you. If you have not yet consulted directly with an attorney, do so immediately. It may be too late, but it is better to try than to find out you missed by a few days. Many WC attorneys offer a free initial consultation.
Good luck
