Basically, notice of the claim must be made to mangmetn or owenrship fo the enployer within thrity days of the incident. There are limitation as to how soon one must make a claim for compensation after that. But the intiial limit is the tough one. If the injured employee's boss was made aware of the incident and that there was an injury, that may suffice to trigger the employer's duty to file an injury report.
