You can contact the creditor and try to negotiate a lump sum or reduced payment plan. It will depend upon the creditor. You could also consider bankruptcy to discharge the debt depending upon your situation. You may want to contact a bankruptcy attorney or attorney to write the creditor to propose a settlement of the debt.
