Legal Question in Criminal Law in Montana
Can a Felony be taken off my record
I was convvicted of a felony 12 years ago. It was for growing marijuana with intent to distribute. I was given a 5 year suspended sentence. I served my probation with no problems. I went into intensive outpatient rehabilitation for 9 months. Since my conviction I have had no further legal problems since that time and have been clean and sober since my arrest. This all took place in Missoula, MT. It is possible to have this violation taken off my legal record permanently?

Re: Can a Felony be taken off my record
In some cases this can be accomplished. The procedure is through what is known as executive clemency or a pardon. I once assisted a person through this procedure, but the bulk of it must be accomplished through probation and parole. I would start there if I were you. Good Luck!
