Legal Question in Criminal Law in Montana
I live in the state of Montana and my girlfriend hit me with a flashlight. The neighbors heard us arguing and fighting and called the police. They saw my face was bruised and arrested her on a PFMA charge. Do I have the choice of pressing charges or does the state do it automaticallly. Please help me because she is in jail right now, and I dont want to press charges.

Domestic violence cases aren't prosecuted "automatically", but that doesn't mean you get to decide. The decision is the prosecutor's, not yours.
