Silencer Possession and Legal ownership
May a Montana state resident purchase/own/use a silencer in the state?

The short answer is no. The exception is that it is OK if, it is registered under federal law and that the person possessing it has no intent of using it to commit an offense. Best advice is don't make, own, buy, or trasport any such device.
