Legal Question in Family Law in Montana
Hi, so my question is in regards to my current divorce situation. My soon to be ex-husband drunkenly called and harassed me and my father to the point we called the police, he continued to send messages threatening to kill my dad and I have the messages as proof, I filed a protection order against him and he is disputing it claiming I lied and committed perjury. How can he do that if I did not lie?

It's one of the oldest tactics in the world: Did, too! Did not! Did, too! Did not! Taking the oath to tell the truth doesn't mean he can't lie. He just promises not to.
You have saved messages from him. I presume your phone "time stamps" messages with "sent Friday, June 3rd, at 6:30 pm." The police can listen to the messages to support an arrest. The court can listen to them support your testimony that the calls occurred and when.
