I am pretty darn sure that you will not need your divorce papers to get a marriage license. You may need to know, approximately, the date you were divorced. Many District Court Clerks do retain court files for an awful long time. You might call the district court clerk in the county where you will be getting your license to find out the requirements such as blood testing etc. Good Luck to you in your new marriage.

I stand corrected. My secretary assured me that one does have to prove that he or she is divorced..
The Clerk of Court would have your decree of dissolution on microfiche and can get you a copy for a nominal fee. Again, good luck in your new marriage.
