Legal Question in Health Care Law in Montana
power of atty/health care agent priviledges
What is the process to get power of attorney or health care agent priviledges for a parent that has signs of dementia/Alzheimers if that parent will not cooperate. Diagnosis has not been documented but is clear. HIPPA laws prohibit doctors from communicating with family members without patient permission which parent will not give. Parent becoming dangerous to themselves. Police documented driving incident. Thank you.
