Legal Question in Employment Law in Montana

1/2 day vacation

I am just wondering how the law works in Montana. I am a salaried employee, if I work a couple hours of the day and take off the rest of day, am I required to use my vacation time for the time I am gone? I thought the Montana law use to state that if you are a salaired employee and you come to work for any period of time during your regular work time, that even if you take the rest of the day off, you were not required to use vacation time because you are a salaried employee, you get paid for the whole day without using vacation time? Thanks for your help.

Re: 1/2 day vacation

If you are expected to work 40 hours a week for your salary, you must do so except for sick leave and vacation. Your employer may also have other catagories for days off, for instance funerals, with pay.
