Legal Question in Employment Law in Montana

A coworker made a "unsolicited statement" I violated a significant safety policy, as a result my 17 year employment ended with a termination meeting. He could not physically prove I had committed the act, yet the company took his word and is standing strong on the decision. His comment, and his alone, resulted in the loss of a 6 figure job

You might want to check with your union rep to see if you have any way to appeal it. I would also start gathering evidence to support your position. You may want to review the employee hand book to see if you can appeal. I would write a letter outlining your position to send to your employer. I would also find a wrong discharge attorney to help you with your case.
