Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Montana
Aunt died with no will only surviving relative
My aunt died with no will and I am the only relative. What do I do about her estate? Also I am being billed for her cremation, wouldn't her estate pay for that?

Under Minnesota law, you would have to open a probate file with the local court if she owned a certain amount of property or real estate.
However, I cannot give you advice about Montana law. You should contact a Montana attorney in the county where your aunt died. If she owned property in Minnesota, a probate file may have to be opened here as well. Please feel free to give me a call if you need further assistance.
