Can father ask for cash gift back after three years?

My Father gave my sister a cash gift of $10,000 three years ago. My father is now getting alzeheimers and current wife has hired an attorney to try and get the money back from my sister to go towards my father's future medical bills. Can this be done?

A gift once given may not be legally reclaimed. Your sister is not legally required to return a lawful gift.
