unlawful use of debit card #
someone used my daughters debit card # and wiped out her bank account, leaving her and kids destitute. Is she reponsible for the charges and the loss of funds from her account ?

The debit card is linked to your daughter's savings account at the bank, so presumably, she was spending her OWN money... Therefore, there's no cause for liability there on her side. But my question remains as to why she did not report the card stolen or missing in the 1st place to disable it?! I believe there's a federal law that limits withdrawls to certain amounts unless approved by the holder of the credit card!!!
Anyway, this causes for a court action against the person who used her card & whom I reckon she knows already otherwise how did he know her signature??!!
