Legal Question in Business Law in Nebraska
Business Naming
I have a business i am planning on starting up and have already picked a name for it. My question is, I have noticed a competitor that is using a similar name (spelled different) then my anticipated name. Can I be sued or any action be taken against me for this?

Re: Business Naming
You can always be sued; it just depends on the facts, who has a trademark, how similar are the names, etc. I would need to know more about the business and the names for both to give you an opinion, and I would need to research to see if you're dealing with a registered trademark issue. Let me know if you want a legal opinion on this to cover your investment.
