You don't provide much information. Perhaps you are used to working with psychics. I would guess you performed some construction work, were paid by check, and they stopped payment on the check at their bank. If that is correct; you will need to hire an attorney unless the amount is small enough to file in small claims court. I would also guess they felt they had a pretty good reason to stop payment on the check which may prevent you from collecting the full amount or make it much more difficult to collect. I would use a few more words when you appear in court. Judges are not usually regarded as psychic, but their predictions nearly always come true.
