Legal Question in Technology Law in Nebraska
Photo Copyright
If we want to post a photographers photos to our website, what steps do we need to take to avoid copyright infringement? Would posting the photographer's name be enough or will we need to get their ''OK'' in writing?

Re: Photo Copyright
You need their written permission to use the photos, for each photo you want to use.

Re: Photo Copyright
Unless a "fair use" exception applies (e.g., if your Web site makes scholarly commentary on the quality of photos), you would need to obtain a license for each photo copied on your site.
