Legal Question in Consumer Law in Nebraska
Someone from a company I know (not a telemarketer) called me at 9:30 pm. I did not ask to be called, and did not answer. He did leave a message stating his name, the company, and asked that I call him back but did not state the purpose of his call on my voicemail. Is this legal?

If it's a collection agency, then they must abide by the FDCPA, which forbids calls after 9:00pm. If it's the original creditor and not a third party debt collector, then the rules are more nebulous. You should schedule a free consultation with an attorney to review the details of your situation. At a minimum, you should continue to document all attempted communications from this creditor.
