Legal Question in Consumer Law in Nebraska

Website Pricing

Does a car dealership have to honor a price it listed on a website? I was browsing Old Mill Toyota-Omaha and they listed a van for 323.00.

Re: Website Pricing

No. However, if the dealership was doing this intentionally and repeatedly to generate more traffic to their lot; then the attorney general might be inclined to file an action against them under the Unfair or Deceptive Trade Practices Act. I would guess it is a simple clerical error made by whoever input the information. Think about it this way; if you were selling your car and parked it in front of your house with a price of $12,000 on the windshield written with white shoe polish. Then it rains and the price now seems to read $ 2,000; would you think you were required to sell it for $2,000?
