Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nebraska
Summons past the statute of limitations in Nebraska
I received a summons that I am being sued for a credit card debt (well probably collection agency) The account was opened 11/10/98 and last payment received was 1/21/03. If I researched correctly, isn't Nebraska SOL 4 years for open accounts (credit cards) and how do I proceed? I have 20 days to respond and file my response with the clerk of the court. Can you help me?

Depending on amount it may be worthwhile to have an atty put in an answer and research Stat. of Limits and demand verification.
