Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nebraska
Any hope?
My son, 20, has been charged with 1st degree sex. assault. His gf is 15 and pregnant. They love each other......I didn't condone the relationship. He knows he broke the law yet it seems highly unfair that he be treated like a sexual predator. Is this a hopeless case......or can the charge be downgraded through plea bargaining. Her parents do condone the relationship and have allowed him to stay the night on multiple occasions. They want to speak on his behalf.

There is definitely a possibility that the charge could be reduced. You need to hire a criminal defense attorney immediately.
