Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nebraska
I received a minor in possession of alcohol at a party and the officers didn't have a warrant and they just walked in. Also, I did not have my I.D., so when they filled out the citation, the only information about me they put down was my name and address. Is there a chance for the charges to get dropped if I go to court and fight this?

There is always a chance you can win when you appear in court, although probably not for the reasons you provided. Your chances would improve if you retained a lawyer to represent your interest. Another possible solution is to contact the prosecutor's office to see if they have a diversion program for that offense. Not all counties offer diversion, but if yours does, ask if you qualify for diversion.
