Serving her time.
In 1996 my wife's x husband caused her so much stress we lost our first pregnancy then she got pregnant a second time and i made my wife pack up and leave the state so her pregnancy would be successful. Now the tricky part she now owes a lot of unpaid support to her x and im affraid that they will want to lock her up is it possible for myself to assume responsability for her debt and take any sentence that she may receive since i am the one who made her leave to save our child?

Assume responsiblity for her debt?
Sure, you could sign a promissory note or something similar and make yourself liable but that would not relieve her of her own liability for the child support. It would just give her ex TWO people to try to collect from instead of one.
The next question is: Would that be a smart move on your part?
Depends on how you feel about self immolation, I guess. I personally don't do that sort of thing and don't recommend it.
