Re: Statue of limations
Nebraska does not allow prosecutors to file misdemeanor charges more than 18 months after a class I or II misdemeanor crime, with certain exceptions. Class III misdemeanors have a one year limitation. The notable exceptions are: when an accused flees from the jurisdiction, or where a new trial is ordered after an appeal.
