name change
i'm divorced and have my maided name returned, now my ex-husband died, can i go back to my preiously married name?

Anyone can change their name, as long as you are not doing it to defraud creditors, etc. In NE, you need to file a Petition for Change of NAme with the District Court and publish a legal notice of name change in a paper in your county for 4 consecutive weeks. You will need to attend a hearing on the matter. You cannot legaly go back to using the old name without these steps. If you need help, you can call me at 402-319-4639.
