Legal Question in Family Law in Nebraska

Name Change

I am gettin married shortly and was wondering about changing my name. I prefer to use a combined name, Jones-Smith. What will I need to change legally to do so, and can I leave some of my current information as just Jones? For example, drivers license, credit cards, insurance, Social Security, etc, what must I change, and what can be left as is legally? Please be specific.

Thank you

Re: Name Change

When you prepare your marriage certificate then include your maiden and your married name if you want. Use this document to change credit cards, drivers license etc. You do not change your birth certificate.
