Giving up
If I offer to give up any and all parental rights to my children from my first marriage am I still obligated to pay child support? I currently pay 822.00 and the mother is asking me to pay another 700.+ for daycare and extra for clothes. I am re-married with 1 child and one on the way, I bring home about 2200.00 a month half of which she already receives, she too is remarried and works.

Contact the family court and determine what you have to do to get assistance from the family law clinic. You may be able to reduce the total amount of child support that you are ordered to pay. Day care costs incurred for mother to work is an additional child support costs that must be paid.
