Legal Question in Family Law in Nebraska

obligations of 12 yr companion

I have lived with an abusive man for 12 years & have been asking him to leave my home for 7. He tells me that i have to give him 30 day notice then will not leave anyway. I have parcially to fully supported him for years. He also states that if i change the locks or get a restraining order that he will sue me as if i am his landlord, since he has had resendency at my home for so many years. There is no contract i am not his land lord & if i was he would have been out years ago. He is not stable & cannot hold down a job. Also is there any legal issues if i put his things in storage. I could put them in his name. I am his poa. thanks much :)

Re: obligations of 12 yr companion

You do not need to give him notice. He can sue (anyone can file a lawsuit against anyone for anything), but he has no grounds for a suit. If you have further questions, let me know.
