runaway teen
my daughter has a 15 year old friend who is beigh physically abused by his father. he has asked if he could stay with us without his fatehres knowledge. he refuses to confide in any help from school counselors or staff. he has no family members to help him. what would happed if if let him stay

Under the circumstances, if you were discovered you would most likely not be charged, but the son would be removed and placed with HHS. The better option, though the son may not be ready for it, would be to contact Child Protective Services, seek to have him 'placed' in HHS Custody, and volunteer to be the respite family and foster care family for him. Then, you can have him stay with you long term until the situation is worked out.
