Re: change in employee contract

If you agree to sign the contract, the terms of the new agreement would be legally binding. That is, there is no law that would prohibit an arrangement such as the one you described. Whether you should, as a practical matter, sign such an agreement is another issue. One important consideration will be the terms of your current agreement. If the agreement is to last for a definite period of time, they do not have the right to force you to modify in the middle of the term. If, however, the agreement is terminable at the discretion of either party, your refusal to agree to the modification could lead to the terminatio of the relationship.
