Legal Question in Employment Law in Nebraska

Decals

I have decals on a chip guard, attached to the front of my truck hood.

The decal itself is of a woman sitting down. It is only a Silhouette of a woman, made from reflective tape. It is not obscene in any way.

I park the truck in a company parking lot whilst at work.

I have been asked to remove the decals as it constitutes sexism.

There is nothing in company documentation that refers to anything like this.

Can this be upheld by the company.

Re: Decals

I would need to review any relevant company policy or handbook, but generally the employer MAY prohibit such material, although you may have a 1st Amendment right which is being infringed.

I would want to see a digital photo of the questioned item, and I could give you a better take on the issue.

Call or e=mail for further assistance.
