Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Nebraska
Cams and eviction notice
We are being evicted for ''not paying our 1st quarter cams on time'' according to our lease and their bills there is not a specified time on when the cams have to be paid and when they are considered to be past due. Also according to our lease it states that ''Lessee agrees to pay $.05/SQ FT/Year for blacktop Replacement and $10.00/ Month for sign rent. Lessee also agrees to pay 13.7% of real estate taxes, insurance and cams.'' it does not list in detail what ''cams'' are. We have been charged other items other then what stated. Do we have any course of action that can be pursued. We will be losing sales and a customer base that we have built because of this.

Re: Cams and eviction notice
You need to retain an attorney immediately to have any hope of fighting the eviction. It is impossible to determine what your possibilities are based solely on the information in your post. I suspect there may be other issues here. If you cannot afford an attorney, try one of the free legal resources here in Omaha; but don't delay getting an attorney to represent you.
