Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Nebraska
Eviction
Currently my boyfriend live in a house and we have a roommate. He is not on the lease and there was never an agreement signed when he moved in. We just informed him that he has 30 days to find a new place to live. He is also a level 3 sex offender and we just found out that there will be a warrant issued for his arrest. If he is not able to remove his property at the end of thirty days, do we gain ownership?

Re: Eviction
No, you do not gain ownership of his personal property. Further, you may be liable to him if any of the property is missing or damaged. If he does not move voluntarily and take his property with him, you should consult with an attorney for instructions on how to proceed.
