Can he take my name off the lease?

My boyfriend and I both signed the lease to our apartment for a year. A couple weeks ago we had a huge fight and I left because I did not feel safe. Now I want to get my stuff but he has told me that he took my name off the lease. Is he allowed to just take my name off the lease without my consent or some sort of notice from my landlord?

No, neither your boyfriend or the landlord can remove your name from the lease without your consent. You need to see an attorney. In Lincoln, I would recommend you contact the Hoppe-Harner law firm.
