Legal Question in Military Law in Nebraska
possible criminal act
I am being asked by a military investigator to come and answer questions he has about military personal that I know that may have committed a criminal act. He will not give me any information regarding this until I come in and see him. The only military men I know have not committed any crime that I know of. Do I have to go and speak to the investigator, I have been told that since it is a military investigation and I am not military that I do not have to because I am not military. I do not want to get involved with something I believe I know nothing about.

Re: possible criminal act
You do not have to go to such a meeting, let alone answer questions.
If you received a supoena from a court that would be different.
Also, there may be an issue if you are a federal civilian employee.
