Bob is 50 years old and is dismissed from his job. The company is offering to pay him severance

if he will sign a release of all claims he may have against them, including age discrimination.

Explain all the requirements the release must meet for the release to be effective for purposes of

the ADEA.

A release is a private agreement. It does not have to meet ADA reqirements It will likely release any ADA claims.
