Re: Service dog discrimnation

In most cases, a person with a disability (as defined by the relevant statute, i.e., a person with a mental or physical impairment that causes a substantial limitation on one or more major life activities) cannot be denied, by a place of public accommodation, the use of a service animal used to assist with the disability. Most often, a denial is the result of a lack of education.

The issues involved in the Americans with Disabilities Act can sometimes be quite complex. You should seek the advice of an experienced disability discrimination lawyer for assistance.

The above does not constitute legal advice or 0pinion and is offered for the purposes of general discussion only. The law differs in every jurisdiction, and you should not rely on any opinion except that of an attorney you have retained, who has a professional duty to advise you after being fully informed of all the pertinent facts and who is familiar with the applicable law.
