Meaning of Bankruptcy Discharge

When you receive your Discharge, it means that your bankruptcy is over. You do not have to pay the bills listed as "Unsecured, NonPriority." (such as doctor bills, credit cards)

You do have to pay the "Unsecured, Priority" debts. Yes, the IRS can take your stuff. Pay them!

To keep your house & your vehicle, you must still pay for them and you must pay on time. The protection from your creditors by the Bankruptcy Court is gone. If you are late on your car payment after the Discharge, the finance company can repo the vehicle. If you are behind on your house payment, the lender can start the foreclosure process.
