Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Nevada
Chapter 13
filed chapter 13 under old law,Oct 2005,was in auto accident May 13, 2006. If we were to get a settlement, would we be able to keep it?

Talk to your attorney. He has to get the lawyer for the car accident approved by the Court and that should be done early. Furthermore, the settlement has to be approved. Finally, you can keep some of the money (lost wages) and I am unsure about the pain and suffering.
If you don't have an attorney and would like to hire me, I can find the answer to pain and suffering and handle the bankruptcy part of the personal injury case.
