how often can you declare bankruptcy. what is the # of years in between

You are eligible to eliminate debts in bankruptcy once every 8 years. The date applies from the date you file, not the date you receive the discharge.
I don't want to be too technical, but, if you need bankruptcy protection, there is a loophole that may let you file Bankruptcy again without waiting 8 years.
