Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Nevada
I own my home outright, am unemployed, recently had to go the E.R., so I have a huge bill to pay, I have no income at all, and cannot pay any of my bills. Is there anything I can do? Thank you for your help.

Go to Legal Aid in Clark County. They should be able to homestead you residence, and protect up to $550.000 in home equity. Whether you would benefit from obtaining bankruptcy relief is another question. Your attorney can explain further.
At this point, there may be very little you need to do. If a creditor sues you, it appears that there is nothing they could do to collect from you, as you have no wages to garnish, bank accounts to attach or other property to seize. Hope you are feeling better now, but the ER is the worst place to go when you are suddenly sick. A Quick Care center is a lot cheaper & much faster.
