New laws on credit card debt
There are no new Bankruptcy laws going into effect at this time. Congress has considered several drafts in the past few years. If the laws do change, we expect that there will be a lapse of 3 - 6 months before they go into effect. I expect any changes to the law to be complicated. If these proposed laws do pass, the news will be loud. Keep emailing your representatives in congress to let them know how your feel about big banking interests buying their votes on this issue!
