How long must you wait to file a chapter 7 bankruptcy if you have filed in the past??

You must wait 8 years from the day your earlier Chapter 7 was FILED to file another Chapter 7.(Do Not use the date of the discharge, that will make you wait longer than you need to.) Of course, you may file a Chapter 13 anytime after you complete your Chapter 7. There are many reasons why a Chapter 13 can help you more than a Chapter 7, but there are too many reasons to explain here.
