Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Nevada
re-opening a previous chapter 7
I filed chpt 7 right before the law changed. Now I have filed chpt 13. My old lawyer didn't put my taxes in my chpt 7, now I'm paying for my old tax bill in my chpt 13? Can I reopen my chpt 7 and petition for my taxes that I owed from 1998-2005? Can you recommend someone in the Las Vegas area that would be able to help me, I'm tired of getting ripped off from these sleazy lawyers!

Yes you can. You can also do it in the Chapter 13. I can help you, I am not sleazy but we would need to figure out how I would get paid. Possibly through your plan payments but I would need to see your case.
