In the state of Nevada , do I need an attorney to file for chapter 7 or 13 bankrupcy? Can I do it myself?

You certainly are able to file Bankruptcy without a lawyer in Nevada or any other state, but why would you want to?
If you make a mistake, you can pay a very heavy price far beyond what an attorney might charge you. Sitting in Court, you can see what happens to many people that foolishly chose to represent themselves. They lose the money in their spouse's bank account, they lose the extra car the family has, they lose next year's $5000 tax refund.
Don't think you have any thing worth losing? Good luck!
Chapter 13 is also much harder to do than a Chapter 7 because you have to do a plan. If you make under $5000 a month, you might be able to do a chapter 7 yourself. If you want to do a Chapter 13 and remove a second mortgage, you will not be able to do that motion yourself.
