Legal Question in Business Law in Nevada
If a company has a main processing location in one state and multiple "virtual Offices" in other states interactive with the main processing server, are they considered "transacting business" in each of the states with a virtual office?
1 Answer from Attorneys
In general any business activity in another state could be considered "transacting business." Each jurisdiction has their own statutory definitions and many jurisdictions have certain exceptions for limited business activities. Whether the activity of the "virtual offices" or the interaction with a main processing server falls within one of the exceptions to the definition of transacting business is a question that calls for a legal opinion. Accordingly, I suggest that you contact an attorney licensed to practice law in Nevada and explain the details of your operation.
